My first weather sonde recovery!! In fact, the first time one is landing inside a radius of 60 miles from my station, and the first time I got to chase. Very exciting!! In the middle of the night, sonde was on the ground and balloon in a lonely tree. I've been able to pull the cord and bring everything on the ground. Thanks sondehub community!! :)

Forgot to report this one right away! Found about a week or so after it landed. It had traveled about 400 yds further (northwest) than the predicted landing spot, in the next field over, on the same trajectory curve. Easy to see. Recovered everything.

could not get coordinates from the road so decided to walk in along fencerow. (knew local farmers and assumed they wouldn't care) found in a lightly disced field (wheat stubble) near last coordinates. (gotta love these local hunts)
