I ran into Mark (Sonder_1) at the landing site and we had a great talk.
The gracious land-owner allowed us to head out into the back woods to look for the sonde, which was very easy to spot hanging from a sapling thanks to the LEDs.
Mark had been planning to go home to get a pole to fetch the sonde, but we improvised with the free end of a ratchet strap and managed to pull the sapling over enough to retrieve the sonde.
