Radiosonde X3432696 recovered by VK3ZAZ

It had stopped transmitting so was guided to the approximate landing location by trackers. Last known position. Located by sight. On testing it was transmitting on 400.5 Mhz not 402.5 but it was switched off. Weather was drizzle overcast light westerly. Recovery of a blue shredded balloon and the transmitter and 30 meters of cord. There was no chute or radar target attached. The blue balloon made it easy to find in the winter short grass. The field was large open grassy country field no trees nearby appprox a km square and 500 meters from the old Adelaide Road Souther Grampians region.
