Why is it called RadioSonde? What is sonde?
@krutonium radio because it transmit data back to base using a radio, compared to a rawinsonde which uses a radar to track
@krutonium a sonde is a weather balloon used for tracking the wind direction (and temperature + humidity in most cases)
