Radiosonde 23033931 recovered by T0OK1

I tracked this sonde to the ground on 24 Oct 2023. It landed in Kelly’s Slough National Wildlife Area mostly water and cat tails. A couple days later there was a foot of snow. Yesterday 10 Apr 24 contacted the refuge manager for entry permission and today we discussed a route on foot around the north and west boundary to get near my coordinates. I got there near sunset and just as the gps indicated the location and water entered my boots I spotted the instrument buried in cattails. Initially I could not see the chute but pulling the cord had resistance. Both boots began filling as I dislodged the entire package. It is in tough shape after the North Dakota winter but the chute shows little fading as it must have been under snow most of the time.
