Sonde was about 15’ up in the cedar tree, with the string stretched across multiple trees, and the dereeler and large balloon remnant in a pine tree. I was able to recover it all. The homeowner was curious about how it worked, and asked if it was one of those Chinese balloons! First time I’ve been asked that.

Found at this location. Property owner gave me permission to enter. Large amount of balloon fragments left, and they were turning pink. The string was severed in two, but everything was intact. This sonde had a sticker, but the rain and sun have made it unreadable. Sensor probe is intact.
