Radiosonde X0932239 recovered by WindTurbine73

My luck ran out. This time the field was not harvested crop, but standing corn! These can be some of the most challenging recoveries. I stopped and got permission to walk into the field.I entered the coordinates which were still being transmitted into my phone GPS, and set off. Sonde was about 450 feet off the road. I reached the coordinates and searched for 10 minutes and found nothing. I decided to return to the truck and recheck the coordinates. I noticed they were slightly different, so entered them into phone again. I walked back in and found it right where it was supposed to be. The lesson here was, always bring the portable receiver into the field so you can double check the coordinates if it is still transmitting !!
