Radiosonde X0315172 recovered by WindTurbine73

This was a cold case that landed May 17. It was in green wheat at the time, so I didn't want to tramp on the crop.I had gone the night it landed and got exact coordinates. The wheat was being harvested yesterday and it turned out to be a farmer that I knew. He gave permission to recover it. I walked to the coordinates and began searching. Fresh straw was covering a lot of the ground, so it was not easily visible. I was hoping to find the string and follow it, but no luck. After about 15 minutes, I was going to give up the search. Then, there it was!! It had been run over by the combine tire, but was still all in one piece.It turned out to be 32 feet east of my "exact" coordinate. Persistence paid off !
