Creek wasn't a creek. It was a 20m+ cesspit. Combined with picking a bad track to get to the fire trails I felt I bit off more than I could chew. Then I remembered Peter Brock's motto for how to live life. Bite off more than you can chew, then chew like crazy. So I won in the end.
